It is believed that the first GUN was made by Chinese’s and they also invented gunpowder in early 9th Century. But these guns were very bulky, less effective, hard to produce, hard to control and very dangerous for the user itself.

Then gunpowder was transported to Europe via SILK ROUTE. Then they used this to produce Cannons, first of all by ITLY in 1320. And after that there is always advancement in this technology. But the credit of first gun should be given to James Puckle of London, England. He demonstrated the very first gun in 1718.

Kalashnikov AK 47:


Kalashnikov AK 47 Assault Rifle was developed by Mikhail Kalashnikov of Soviet Union. The design work of this assault rifle was started during Second World War and finished in 1946. AK-47 was officially introduced for military use in 1947. Even after six decades AK-47 is one of the best choices and this is due to its durability, easy to produce, relatively cheap, easy to maintain and the accuracy is average. According to a survey AK-47 can be considered as the gun which takes the maximum no. of lives on this planet. DSR-Precision GmbH DSR-1:

This beauty is an example of real piece of technology in the field of weapons. It was manufactured in 2000 by German company DSR-Precision GmbH. It has a very unique feature called Hydraulic recoil damping system which helps to reduce the recoil effects of bullet. It is configured in a bull-pup design, with a free-floating barrel. It has a two leg stand in its front which is very useful while using it and provides very high precision.  It is designed in such a way that Disassembly and reassembly can be done without influence on point of impact. Hypersonic Railgun:

This concept was first introduced in 1918 by French inventor Louis Octave Fauchon-Villeplee. He also invented an electric cannon which is an early form of railgun, but after him no one focus more on this technology as it require very huge investment. But recently American is trying to develop this weapon.  Recently it was tested by American Navy in January 2008. It is not completely ready for use. There are many modifications taking place in this RAILGUN. It works on the principal of Electromagnetic field and forced induced by that field. In the last test US Navy was able to accelerate a 3.2 Kg object to an extent of 3.2 Kmph or 5400 miles per hour. The best part of this weapon is its accuracy. When it will be complete it will be able to hit the target without any failure that is 100% accuracy.
