I
many time heard that we can’t capture time, yeah its true but we can capture
memories of that time. So you definitely need one camera for capturing your
memories. But nowadays one of the main use of clicks is to make their pics as
profile/wall pictures on social sites. Memories can be refreshed even though
pictures are fade or blurred. But it’s better to capture your memories by a
good camera, s your memory will always be bright. So I am writing this article about the
selection of digital cameras. There is wide range of Camera Company’s and its
models in market, but sometimes you are confused that which one you should buy.The following
list of steps will help you choosing the best deal for you.
Steps to be followed while selecting a
digital camera
1.
First set the budget on how much money you can spend in
buying a digital camera for you.
2.
Secondly determine your experience level in operating a
digital camera. Are you a new operator, an expert or a beginner when it is
about digital photography? If you are a beginner then a low quality camera will
be right for you otherwise if you are an expert in the field of digital
photography then you can look for some high quality cameras.
3.
Thirdly consider what you want to capture by your camera. For
personal use like for tours, friends parties, get together etc. get a that is
fast in processing and acts fast after you click the shutter as you will have
to capture photos quickly. If you are going to capture the still figures, then
low processing camera will work. If you want to captures the far distant
objects then took camera which have high optical zoom e.g. 10x zoom.
4.
Decide whether you want to capture videos with the camera. If
you want normal quality then look for cameras with 480p or 720p video
resolution. And if you want a true HD (high definition) video then look for the
camera with 1080p video resolution. If you want to capture sound also then look
for the cameras having microphone input. Camera with 1080p gives you the video
with finest quality, it’s simply awesome.
5.
If you are confused about the company, then you can check
reviews on the internet about the photography and cameras. You can visit
different websites in the internet for the reviews like
http://www.dpreview.com, http://www.imaging-resource.com, and
http://www.steves-digicams.com are the leading sites for good photographers,
while http://www.cnet.com has good reviews for more casual users. If you are
confused between two cameras and want to compare their functions and
capabilities then you can visit http://www.vsxl.com to explore similar cameras.
6.
If you like some special feature then make a list of them and
prioritize the list. Always remember that there are tradeoffs, i.e. digital
zoom vs optical zoom. You probably would not be getting what you want.
7.
Select which type of batteries would be best for you. Best
batteries in market these days are lithium ion rechargeable batteries. These
rechargeable batteries are lighter and have long lasting life but there is a
problem also, when it wears out, it may be difficult to buy a replacement. If
camera accepts AA size batteries, then they can be replaced by other AA size
batteries. These are not manufacture specific and can be easily replaced with
another set of batteries when needed. I will suggest AA size batteries if you
are uying camera within range of <15k.
8.
Do not make complete compromises while buying a camera.
Decide what is important and get something that is best at that, rather than
making a compromise.
9.
Do not make a wrong thinking that a high megapixel camera
always captures a good picture. Pixels always not make your picture good it
mainly increase the clarity of photo on zooming. There are many other factors
like quality of lens that determine the quality of image. 3.2 megapixels is the
minimum for good 4x6 size pictures. But nowadays no one is buying a camera less
than 10 megapixels. You can go to the photo store and get more information from
professional about how many megapixels you will need your camera to have good
quality pictures.
10.
Do not look for a number of models. Just select one or two
models that suits your budget best and have all the qualities you wanted. You
can compare the prices by visiting various online shopping sites like
www.homeshop18.com, www.flipcart.com, www.jabong.com etc.
11.
Check the warranty period of the camera you are going to buy.
Most of the camera brands give a warranty of one year from the date of
purchase, but extended warranty is also offered in some stores like Reliance
stores, but some extra money is also charged for the extended warranty.
12.
After making all the comparisons by visiting different sites
and selecting the best camera for you, you can buy the camera from digital
stores or you can buy online. But I recommend you that always buy the
electronic things from local market or online directly from company official
sites. Because other sites mainly does not give warranty card or they give card
of one year warranty but when you check your warranty status on company’s site
it may be not full 1 year.
